Since many giants from Skyrim come down from the mountains to herd mammoths , it would make sense that safe giant encampments would be inhabited and maintained by female giants outside of Skyrim's borders while the male giants searched for food.
No official material within The Elder Scrolls provides an explanation as to where the giants came from. Their giant bodies and primitive tools could be compared to the Nords, yet they seem much less intelligent. Michael Kirkbride, a former writer at Bethesda that is responsible for much of the franchise's lore, explained their origins in a non-official story about how the Nords migrated to Tamriel.
In it, Kirkbride describes the giants as natives to Atmora that migrated to Skyrim thousands of years ago. They were once much more intelligent and fierce, although their kind was treated so poorly by the Nords and other races that these giants migrated up to the mountains for hundreds of years before returning to Skyrim.
Giants have never been the same since. While this is certainly a solid explanation as to their origins, this story hasn't been confirmed either in-game or from Bethesda themselves and should be treated as fan-fiction. It is no secret that the Ancient Nords treated everything beyond themselves and dragons as challenges to be conquered, but this reaches a whole new level when giants are considered.
Could part of the Nord's resilience to the cold and expertise with combat derive in part from breeding with giants? It sounds far-fetched, but half-giant and half-Nords do exist in the official Elder Scrolls timeline. Born from a father that was half-giant and half-Nord, she would be raised as a brilliant fighter that rose above her competition both in skill and physical height.
If Lyris and her father are part giant, are some giants part Nord by extension? Who knows how many hybrids exist in The Elder Scrolls universe. While the skin marks on every giant are the same, their apparel is different from each other.
Some giants wear more bones and fur than others even if multiple giants co-exist at the same camp. Does this imply that giants might have a social hierarchy?
Last time I stopped playing it was because of the Riften Thane bug. Luckely that was fixed. Now not only is there the atomic nirnroot bug and the louis letrush clones but now a major bug in respawning. Which means I now have to be weary of travelling to the same place withing 10 days in case it breaks respawns in that area. Might as well stop playing until these bugs are fixed.
In other words, once the bodies are gone, the respawn timer is gone as well. It's like respawning loot on shelves in dungeons. When you take the loot, a placeholder is placed in memory so the item respawns after the 10 or 30 day cycle is completed. The lunar weapons at Silent Moons Camp reappear consistently 10 days after taking them, even though none of the bandits do in my 1. So we appear to be not having a respawn problem, at least on her box.
To clarify, is that 30 days of uninterrupted time? That is, if you reenter a dungeon before the 30 days is up, will it then be an additional 30 days from that point? Respawning doesn't work that way. It will "halt" while you're in there, but when you leave, the timer will resume where it left off.
Heh you can go in on day 29 with 5 minutes left and sit in there for 10, leave and return and it'll be reset. Edit: Ninja'd ;p. I was getting paranoid that continuing to check the awesome ebony mine was screwing me. In skyrim the best potion you can make is a fortify health concoction. You put giants toe, creep cluster, and wheat.
This causes your level to jump a full level till about forty, and it takes two to level once you reach level 40 alchemy. You do this and you will level as fast as possible.
You can definitely harvest it. When you go to get it, aim your cursor about 18 inches above where you should be able to get it and voila. User Info: crashman They do respawn, I use them to farm grand and great souls. They are ghost -like spirits of deceased beings who hold hatred towards the world and can be found in dark places such as graveyards, empty fields, plains, and caves.
Poes are often seen carrying a lantern on their person. A variety of roles are played by Poes in their respective games.
